01 · Case Study —€” The Brief

A Mark for a New Kind of Real Estate

Everhome operates across five markets —€” France, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand —€” selling homes at the top of each market. The existing identity had grown inconsistent from agent to agent: different crests, different type, no shared voice. The brief was to design a single mark confident enough for a billboard and quiet enough for a business card, with no reliance on colour, photography or a tagline to carry it.

Requirements
Confident at billboard scale
Legible embroidered at 20mm
Works in a single colour
Timeless —€” no trend-led ornament
01
02 · Case Study —€” The Concept

Home, Abstracted

01
The upper-left mass reads as a rooftop; the lower-right notch, an open doorway —€” the mark is a home seen at an angle, mid-approach.
02
The two-tone split marks a threshold —€” outside meeting inside —€” rather than decorating the shape with an unrelated second colour.
03
Rounded corners on two sides only keep the geometry warm rather than corporate —€” the mark still holds its shape at 20mm.

03 · Case Study —€” The Solution

The Primary Lockup

Everhome

The result pairs the symbol with a bold, unadorned wordmark set in Poppins —€” no italics, no custom letterforms to maintain. What follows are the rules that keep it consistent from a Paris shopfront to a Sydney listing.

04 · Construction

Anatomy & Proportion

Grid
Built on a 100×100 unit square with rounded top-left and bottom-right corners at 19% radius —€” never redraw the corner radius by eye.
Two-Tone Split
The mark splits into a lighter upper-left tone and a darker lower-right tone, always at a fixed 33/69% split.
Wordmark Spacing
Icon-to-wordmark gap is fixed at 0.42em of the wordmark's cap height. Never widen or tighten this gap.

05 · Clearspace & Minimum Size

On Olive (Reversed)
Never use the mark in any colour outside this system —€” no gradients, no unapproved tints.

07 · Symbol-Only Usage

The Mark, Standalone

Use the symbol alone for app icons, favicons, social avatars, embroidery, and any space too small or too square for the full lockup. The wordmark should always appear elsewhere nearby on the same surface so the brand is never anonymous.

08 · In Application

One Mark, Five Markets

Out-of-Home
Full lockup, generous clearspace —€” legible from a moving car.
Yard Signage
Icon centred above the wordmark —€” reads at 50 metres.
Digital
Icon doubles as app icon, favicon and social avatar.
Embroidery
Icon only, simplified for a low stitch count.
